New Castle Correctional Facility Visiting Information:

Effective March 2013 visiting hours for General population and Annex offenders are from 8:30 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., six (6) days per week, Thursday-Tuesday.  General population visits on  M-T-T-F will no longer have a limit providing space is available, it is not a holiday, and there are no restroom breaks taken. The only exception is children under 8, or those with documented health issues.   General Population offenders who are on Non-Contact Visitation Restrictions may have their visits limited to thirty (30) minutes depending on space available.  General population and L-Unit offenders will only be allowed weekend visits every other weekend, based upon posted schedule and housing unit assignment.  Visitation with offenders in the Annex is by Video Visitation (non-contact) and is for one (1) hour only. The extension in visiting hours for General Population does not affect Segregation, Mental Health, or the Annex visiting hours.

Segregation offenders will only be allowed non-contact visits, and only two visits per month.  Visiting hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., on Tuesdays only.  Offenders may visit for one (1) hour with no extended time or special visits.

Infirmary offenders, who are physically able, will visit in the Visiting Room and will have the same privileges as the General Population, unless specified by Medical Staff.  Offenders declared by a physician as being unable to go to the Visiting Room will be able to have modified visits in the Infirmary Unit.

Minimum Housing offenders (NCA / L-Unit) offenders visiting hours are from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., two  (2) days per week, Saturday and Sunday, and  will only be allowed weekend visits every other weekend, based upon posted schedule and housing unit assignment.  Evening visitation will be allowed on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  The number of visitors at L Dorm is limited to 8 visitors at one time due to space constraints.

TELEPHONE INMATES:

GTL provides the opportunity for inmate telephone accounts to be created and minutes purchased through multiple payment solutions. These accounts can be managed through OffenderConnect.com, an industry leader in correctional payment services and GTL approved payment solution.

DEBIT: Debit calling puts the inmate in control of their phone account. They will be able to purchase debit minutes from the commissary, which they can then use to call friends and family members.

Friends and family members are also able to purchase phone minutes for an inmate’s debit account by creating an Offender Phone account throughOffenderConnect.com. Once the payment has been made, the amount is credited to the offender and may be used to make phone calls to any allowed phone number.

Inmates can call any approved phone numbers, including cell phones, with their debit account.

PREPAID COLLECT: GTL’s prepaid collect option, AdvancePay®, allows a friend or family member to set up a calling account to his or her phone number without the restrictions of standard billing. Every time calls are made and accepted to a prepaid number, the charges are deducted from the account. Prepaid accounts can be set up for all types of numbers, including cell phones. Friends and family should visit OffenderConnect.com or call 800.483.8314 to set up an AdvancePay® account today!

COLLECT: Calls to certain approved numbers and the call charges will remain the same as they do today on your monthly phone bill. However, note that collect calls cannot be made to cell phones, office phones, or hospital numbers.

For any questions regarding our calling options, friends and family members should call GTL at 877.650.4249!
