Visiting hours at Montana Women's Prison are normally on the following days and times:
Tuesday 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Thursday 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
(If possible, we request visitors from the local area use the Tuesday and Thursday visiting times, to free up space for out of town visitors on the weekends.)
Friday 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. | 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
** Every 3rd Saturday of the month is Kid's Day. This is for Children of Offenders with approval and scheduling through the Parenting Program only; no drop-ins. Teens are from 9:00 am-11:00am and children 12 and under are from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. There is regular visiting in the evening from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Visitors are required to check-in one-half hour before the scheduled visiting time and leave personal items outside the facility except for the following:
Identification with picture
One small plastic comb (no pick, brushes, or rat-tail combs)
Prescribed medical appliances (must have medical documentation if needed)
Medications will be approved on a case-by-case basis.
No more than $15.00 on quarters in a clear plastic bag.
Visitors with small children may also bring:
One clear plastic bottle of formula/juice
One factory sealed jar of baby food and a plastic spoon
One baby blanket (not quilted no larger than 3' x 3')
Baby carrier (secured in the visiting foyer)
One new factory sealed container of baby formula
One small toy
One diaper bag containing the items listed above (secured in the visiting foyer)
Unless pre-approved, no more than five (5) approved people (including children) may visit each offender. When the maximum capacity of the Visiting Room (44 persons), is reached, out-of-town visitors will be given priority over local visitors.
No time limit unless space availability is limited.
