brad

Hi Quenisha,
The inmate can find out his release date from his case manager. The Kirkland website has an inmate locator, but it does not give release dates. You can also contact the inmate’s case manager regarding this issue.

I would like to visit o the weekend what are the times

brad
Editor

Hi Diana,
Upon arriving at the institution, the visitor must state the name and SCDC number of the inmate they wish to visit. This information is entered into the automated system and if the individual is listed on the inmate’s approved visiting list, a visitor’s pass will be generated for the individual. [Inmates may only have one visit per day; therefore, all visitors must be together. For specific times for visitation, we recommend calling directly the prison.
For more information about prison life, read the 25 Rules.

My husband was relocated to Kirkland facility on 2-25-15, from Berkeley Detention center in Moncks Corner,S.C. —-the nurse there told me I could mail his prescription meds for his diabetes to him. I need to know the process for this, and also, if the money I put into his account at Moncks Corner will be moved to Kirkland facility? Does he have to be there a certain amount of time befor he can purchase writing material? Will mail we sent to the Moncks Corner facility be forwarded to him aat the Kirkland facility ? Thank you for any imformation on… Read more »

brad

Hi Joan,
The mail should be forwarded to your husband’s next facility. Regarding the mailing of medications to an inmate is not the usual process at any prison since illegal drugs could be mailed in that fashion. We recommend your contacting the medical unit at the next facility to confirm the process or your husband’s case manager.
