how many visitors are allowed at one time?

    • PrisonPath December 20, 2012 at 4:24 pm #

      Hi Polly,

The prison web site indicates 10 visitors, but all of the visitors have to be on the approved visitor’s list for the inmate. I would still call the facility to confirm the number of visitors since restrictions can change.

I believe that is correct. My boyfriend says so. He had to purchase a fan because it gets too hot and gets all sweaty.

Does your unit offer substance abuse counseling, support groups, etc.?

      Hi Martha,

We recommend that you call the inmate’s case manager for information about drug programs, etc.

Glossbrener does offer group talk sessions with a counselor. You can accompany your loved one for that hour and it does not count towards your 2 hour visitation time. Group talk sessions start at 9am on Saturday and Sunday but they told me I must be there at 8am to be taken in as it is on a first come first serve basis. Around 8:45, the counselor will go around and ask if anyone wants to participate. Last weekend I was there at 8am and did go in for group talk with my boyfriend. I told the lady up front that I wanted to participate so she told the counselor for me as soon as he walked in. It was open topic so we talked about goals and other things but I loved it and having an additional hour was so great!
