Prison Description

Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center is responsible for the intake and classification procedure for most inmates in the state.  Because this is an intake facility, the inmate is usually only housed here a short period of time, and then transferred to their more permanent location after they are classified.

Because this is an intake and booking center, inmates are only allowed visits from friends and family after 30 days of incarceration. Men's visits are on Sundays and women's visiting are on Saturdays.

I need to know if I can send books to an inmate, if yes how do I do it?

Hi Kirby,
You cannot purchase and send books directly from you to an inmate. You can buy books from a vendor such as Amazon or Barnes 7 Noble and the books are shipped directly from the vendor to the inmate. For information about prison life,
