VISITATION Each inmate will be allowed one scheduled visit per week consisting of approximately 30 minutes in duration, unless restricted for a rule violation. If visitors do not show up for the scheduled visit, it will be considered a visit. Inmates will be allowed three (3) visitors during any one visit, including the children of the inmate. Children under the age of 17 Years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The child visiting will need to be accompanied with a birth certificate to visit. Visitors must produce identification with a photo, except those children accompanied by an adult. Visitors must sign the register before admission and comply with all security regulations as directed by St. Clair County Jail personnel. All visits will be supervised and visitors are subject to a search.
THERE WILL BE ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING DURING VISITING
Visits will be scheduled by the inmate and by appointment only. Inmates will request from a corrections officer a specific day and time that visits are allowed. If there is an opening the officer will schedule the inmate for the visit. Inmates will provide the officer with the first and last names of up to three (3) visitors. Inmates are to contact their people they wish to visit by phone or letter and inform them of the scheduled visit. Visits will be held Sunday through Thursday between 1:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. with exception of dinner hour (5:00pm).
All visits must be set up by the inmates. All visitors must be here at least 30 minutes prior to a scheduled visit to allow time to be processed in. Only visitors processed in will be allowed to visit. NO late visitors will be allowed to visit for security purposes. All visitors must have picture ID and children under the age of 17 Years, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to visit. Only 3 people are allowed to visit, and children are included in the figure. Money can be dropped off in the lobby Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visiting days are Sunday through Thursday, between 1:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M. with the exception of the dinner hour (5:00pm). Articles will only be released on visiting days. An officer should be advised at the beginning of each visit to allow him / her time to process the articles. Visits slips must be turned in at least 24 hours in advance and visit slips will be logged prior to visiting to allow visitors to be contacted as to time of visit. VISITATION WILL BE TERMINATED FOR MISCONDUCT, ABUSIVE LANGUAGE OR IF DETERMINED BY SECURITY PERSONNEL TO BE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.

CLOTHING FOR COURT APPEARANCES Each inmate will be provided with personal clothing, brought in by the inmate or the inmate friends or relatives for court appearances. Clothing must be in accordance with inmate rules. Personal clothing will be allowed for all court appearances where jail clothing would be prejudicial to the inmate. After the inmate has been arraigned in court, clothing will be issued to the inmate, including underwear and socks. No other clothing will be allowed in the living area of the jail. The St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center WILL NOT be responsible for clothing or other personal articles left at the IDC upon the inmate’s discharge or transfer.
