District II provides law enforcement services to the unincorporated areas within the southwest quadrant of Maricopa County which encompasses nearly 6000 square miles. These unincorporated areas include communities such as Laveen, Rainbow Valley, Tonopah, other county islands in Phoenix, Avondale, Goodyear, Glendale, and Buckeye.
District II also provides law enforcement services to three separate contract cities. These communities include the Town of Gila Bend, the City of Litchfield Park, and the Mobile community in the City of Goodyear.
The District is comprised of one main sub-station in Avondale, a satellite station in Gila Bend, and other report writing offices throughout the aforementioned communities. The District houses patrol operations, detectives, and other administrative staff.
On average District II deputies respond to approximately 40,000 calls for service and nearly 35,000 on-view cases per year.
