  2. Catalina says:

As a new inmate, what are u allowed to bring with you, can u bring your own books, socks, undergarments and feminine products, medications?

    • PrisonPath says:

      Hi Catalina,

For almost all prisons, you enter with the clothes that you are wearing. Your clothes will be replaced immediately with a prison uniform. Your clothes may be mailed back to your family or will be available to you upon release. Most prisons do not allow personal items. You will have a medical examination where you can indicate the medications that you need. I would recommend that you keep a copy of your medical record and medications list with your legal records. You are allowed to keep your legal records. However, I strongly recommend that you call the facilty to confirm this information. For additional information about prison survival–see this link.

    When can inmates have visitors

  4. Kathy says:

Are there certain days and times?

  5. Jamie says:

What time do inmates get to use the telephone?

    • PrisonPath says:

      Hi Jamie,

Please note the following information from the prison web site:

Inmates may make telephone calls from phones within the dormitories. These calls must be made as collect calls – calling cards MAY NOT be used.

From PrisonPath– The use of the telephone will depend on the daily schedule and the number of inmates. Often, an inmate is allotted 15 minutes in a facility. However, this can vary from prison to prison. For more information, you should call the facility.

  6. jacob says:

can you drop off 3 plain white tee shirts and 3 plain white underwear for inmates?

    • PrisonPath says:

      Hi Jacob,

      Please note the following:
      Inmates cannot receive packages.
However, we recommend calling the facility about dropping off items. In all probability, the answer is no.
