The Greene County Detention Center is a pre-trial facility where persons accused of crimes that cannot bond out await their court date. The Greene County Detention Center also houses persons sentenced to serve up to twelve months of confinement in a local setting and persons sentenced for more serious crimes until bed space is available with the Georgia Department of Corrections.
