Can I mail my son’s prescription eyeglasses? I heard that if you send them to the attention of medical that the inmate can receive them?

    • PrisonPath May 10, 2013 at 2:48 pm #

      Hi PFW,

The procedure varies from prison to prison. At MCTC in Hagerstown, MD., an inmate could only receive eyeglasses through the prison. I would recommend calling the facility and confirm the procedure for prescription eyeglasses.

      Hi Tiffany,

You cannot mail books directly to an inmate. You can order books from a retail company or publisher and they will comply with the prison requirements and ship the books to the inmate. One site for ordering books for an inmate is Konmart.com.
