Any person who smells of alcohol and/or appears to be intoxicated, or who appears to be on/under the influence of any drugs shall not be admitted. Any person who does not leave the facility or grounds, when directed to do so by a Denver Deputy Sheriff, will be subject to arrest and charged. No offensive, loud or disruptive language will be allowed. unacceptable conduct will cause your visit to be terminated immediately and may prevent future visits. All minor children must be properly supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Dress Code All visitors must be fully dressed in appropriate, conventional clothing which is not unduly provocative, suggestive or revealing. Clothing must not resemble inmate attire or present adornments which could be used as a weapon. Visitor clothing standards include:
No bare feet No short skirts No swimwear or bikini tops No halter or backless shirts No spaghetti string tops No muscle shirts No see-through material No gang, obscene, drug, alcohol messages or profanity on clothing No visible undergarments No wearing hats in the visitor area (religious exception) All shirts must have sleeves and completely cover the chest and shoulder areas. Shorts may be worn (mid-thigh length or longer). Sports jerseys may be worn but should be worn over a t-shirt, or longer, if the shoulders are not completely covered.
Visit Officers have discretion over the final decision as to what is appropriate for the visitor.

There are three ways to place monies on an inmate's account:
Payments can be made by cash or credit card by kiosk located at the Downtown Detention Facility located at 490 Colfax Denver, CO 80206. You must have the offenders criminal Descriptor Number (CD #) to place money on their account. CD numbers can be located on the offender look up. Payments in the form of postal money orders can be dropped off at the information desk at each facility. The inmates name and CD # need to be written on the money order to be applied to the correct person. Monies can be placed on an inmate’s account by going to Access Corrections. You will need the CD # to complete this transaction. Money can be withdrawn from an inmate's account if the inmate agrees to it and the inmate has ample funds on his account. A valid government issued ID will be required to make this request. Calling Cards The Denver Sheriff’s Department has changed their inmate telephone service provider.
In order to receive calls from an inmate, you will need to open a new account with Securus Technologies. To setup a new account with Securus Technologies, please visit their website at www.securustech.net or call 1-800-844-6591.
Friends & Family GTL Refund Process Payments made to the previous inmate telephone service provider GTL will not be transferred to Securus Technologies. You should contact the previous provider GlobalTel*Link to request a refund: 877-650-4249, www.gtl.net:

Credit or Debit card refunds: A GTL agent will submit a Refund Request after obtaining the card detail from the customer over the phone, and the customer should see the credit on their card account within 30–60 business days. Check refunds for Western Union or Money Order payments They will submit a Refund Request in writing; a GTL customer service agent will provide them with the details needed for the request and notate their account that a refund is in process. The written request can be faxed or mailed to GTL The refund checks are mailed to the customers within 30–60 business days.
